outlaws justice - that is a heck of a collection, nice time-warp you have there. I think I'da kept the Nighthawk S, I liked those - except for the funny front wheel size.
I owned an Aprilia RST 1000 'Futurama' for 4 years - pretty unusual to most folks "What IS that ?" all the TIME. I DO miss it a little. I know some day it will appear on a "Cool bikes the we Covet" list next to a Black Shadow or something and I'll curse my stupidity, but it did have some issues. Never selling the HawkGT though. Super-Sweet Duc, Spezjag - I'd love to have a chance to ride one of those some day. |

ive always liked the oddballs. in the past my most odd bikes were an '86 honda NS400R and '88 NX650.
currently ive got a '90 honda CB-1. only imported two years. that wasnt odd enough so i revised it a bit: ![]() and even more odd is my '85 suzuki SP600. only sold one year in the US only. rest of the world got a DR600 version.

Thanks, I will get another Nighthawk-S (I have owned 6 of them over the years including the new one I bought in 1984) Those are just the semi rare bikes. I have a 2005 KTM950 Adv. 2002 BMW K1200RS, 2005 Yamaha Vmax, 2006 Yamaha FZ1, 1991 Honda VFR750, 2005 Suzuki SV650S and the list goes on!

I think the rarest would be my current bike, a Yamaha TRX850. Sold in europe between 1996-1998, pretty rare where I live, I haven't met another TRX yet. Italian-influenced design with the tubular frame and a 270-degr crank, sounds nice
![]() I also had a Suzuki GSX400 FWS for a while, a liquid cooled 4-cyl with IIRC 55-ish hp. Rare? |

That said, I guess I've owned a few oddballs; 1986 Honda Reflex (TLR200) - not rare but not common either 1989 Honda NX125 - I know of only a couple of other people, thru this forum site, that have one. 1989 Honda VTR250 Interceptor (as above but without the Barbie-ceptor paint job) - again, not rare but not very common. 1963 Vespa GS160 (as seen on the cover of the Who's Quadrophenia album cover sans all the lights & bars) - pretty rare and difficult to find parts. Of those mentioned above, I only have the VTR now.

![]() aprilia RS125 2 stroke track bike in spains no.1 livery -- imported to the us in 2009 as a track only offering (you could make it street legal, but it would truly suck) on the track its a blast, just pin it and lean |

This is the first one I owned, had only 3,000 original miles when I sold it, yours was the second one. Not fond of the paint on this one either, but was factory original, and that is something I always look for when I do not know the history of the bike personally.

Rarest- in terms of production numbers, is probably my road racer- a 1995 Honda RS250R
![]() Most unusual, and reasonably rare but not amazingly so, is my Kawasaki kt250, presently undergoing restoration.

If I could have all my old bikes and Cars back, I would'nt be able to afford the ins.
The 1987 YSR 80 was the most unusual and the first bike I ever High sided! The 69 Triumph Trident 750 is probably the rarest. I did have a Barn Find 68 Ducati Scrambler, but I never had time to restore it and sold it before I ever rode it!

Guess I kan't resist playing this game.
1989 SDR200 Japanese Domestic Market only. As far as I know there are (3) in the USA. ![]() 1998 GasGas EC250SM The only thing that makes it rare is the SuperMoto conversion and the California street plate. ![]() And a couple of unusual 50cc SuperMotards. A 2002 GasGas EC50sm and a 2002 Derbi Senda SuperMoto. ![]() I think they got BIG BIRD's attention, if not the tourists taking pictures in front of the Las Vegas sign. I have a few more to share if this game continues. |
