@ the four wheeler joke. A desert ADV bike. I suspect it won't see a lot of dirt, but it will see a lot of racing around the hood and running to the store. Mainly, I just wanted a fun project. When my brothers kids get bigger, it will probably wind up with them.

15 tooth sprocket install
As the title says, I installed a JT Sprockets 15 tooth counter sprocket, going up one. I don't know what I'll do with the back yet. The install is not picture worthy, but what is worth a mention, is my HF 18.5 volt electric impact tool worked great.
![]() If there was a Spacely Sprockets, I would buy from them.

More photos
I added new front and rear sprockets. 15/45, maybe I'll get a couple extra mph out of it. JT front and PMP rear. I also added IMS footpegs. I'm kind of stuck right now, waiting for the rear shock to come back from BBR. I was unable to install the heavier spring. A couple places in town couldn't do it either. The shock was too small for their equipment. I have heavier fork springs coming from BBR too. Once the shock comes back, assembly should go pretty quick.

I'm curious to see if the jet kit will cure the low rpm bog these bikes are known for. My son's does it and it truly hampers my wheelie riding....lol

I didn't ride it long enough before I tore it down to know if mine bogged. I'll post how the jet kit goes.

Shroud graphics came today.
I used the wet method to apply them and took my time. The left one came out pretty decent, the right one, not so much. They're a good six footer. I'm glad I ordered new OEM shrouds in case I wind up hating these. I'll have to get the razor blade out some more for that right shroud.

Dude!!! I built one of these back ten years ago of so for my kids to race in a 4t kids MX class. I had found a front end off a CR 80 from around 87 iirc that had a disc brake and it bolted right on. I added a KTM 65 shock in a "custom PDS mount on the stock swingarm too. I wish I had a pic of that around...I'll look. One word of advice, Big Gun exhaust makes it as loud as a CRF450f!

I'm setting this up for adult riding. It's a fun project and should be fun to ride.

Well... Technically it IS a THUMPER ! Ha !
If you were a self-proclaimed 'Knucklehead' before, consider yourself competent now. I love seeing an older "Used" bike brought back and enjoyed. Very nice job so far ! Cheers brother !

AT 6'3" I'd look pretty ridiculous riding one of these. Hmmmm sounds tempting.

I checked in my town and found a CR that I might be able to get for cheap. You say the front bolts right on?

Rear wheel and shock installation
My shock came back from BBR today, along with the heavier front fork springs. I got the rear shock on and mounted the rear wheel tonight. Nice new EBC brake shoes too. I'm going to get the springs cut to size tomorrow and get the front end back together. It may be a rolling frame tomorrow.
