Hey
I know its sort of the down season. Was hoping to meet others in the Bend, Redmond greater area that would be up for some riding as soon as we can get out. Just bought myself a DR650se pretty stoked but need some people to show me around. |

VT - I'm waiting for the ice to clear as well. Last season I rode well into February. Are you in Bend or Redmond?
And Petrol, report soldier!! How did the ribs go?? I had an old Austin buddy come through town today and caught breakfast with him this morning. He just finished 14 months on his DR through South America, even hopped a boat to Antarctica. What a trip... Tejas a La Tierra |

VT- Welcome to Central Oregon and the Lava Lover's Lounge. You shouldn't have any problem connecting with people to ride with. Your bike is right in between my two. I have a DR350se and a V-strom 650. I can show you the riding around Madras once the National Grasslands re-open April 1st.

Fodder- I am in the Old West End. But Redmond is only like 30 mins up the road right? I can go where ever people are that want to ride. No ride to short or two long (with prior planning of course).
MadChap- Yea I was torn between so many different bike. I did my research and for the price the DR650se was right. I really like the DR400 too just didn't have the power i was looking for. I want to ride down to Mexico, Over to Colorado and hopefully eventually the AL-CAN. All in good time... Also I am a very experienced Mountaineer and long distance backpacker. I have stoves, sleeping bags, tents all the gear needed for week long + trips. Which i am very interested in doing out here. And i have plenty of gear to loan to friends who are riding with me if anyone wants to do these sort of things but doesn't but have the gear. If anyone in the Area has a DR650 or knows about them I would love to meet and chat in person. I'll buy the beers!
