Good ride today! I was at the back trying to hold my pace. Pretty sure Dennis smoked me - but I had fun and I rode well in my eyes that's what matters.

It was a fun course but so tight! Plus about three miles of silt - it felt like being on a boat at times.

That was fun. I didn't know what to expect from GP and in the end I think I enjoyed it more than racing in the desert - it seemed like I didn't have to take too many risks as the course was safer than running wide open in the open.

My best race lap was pathetic 18:28 (strangely I did 18:02 in unclassified race when I was just cruising). I thought I was going OK until I looked up expert lap times - Robby Bell did 12:36. Really? They must be cheating or flying. Perhaps I could have gone few seconds faster, but I really wanted to finish safe and after few oh shit moments I settled for my safe pace. I think next race I will be way more aggressive passing people, playing super nice guy rewarded me with two stroke smoke and face full of silt for one full lap.

Pasta, your best lap time was 19:31. For some reason you did 3 laps and I did 4. We have so much to learn it's not even funny. Paging MotoMike

Looks like I was 10th out of 17 in Novice Vet race. I battled with my friend most of the race, he passed me on the last lap when I fell over pulling out of checkpoint - right where all spectators were

Since my buddy was behind with the camera, I think he may have one of my oh ship moments on tape.

Any of you locals doing Elsinore GP this weekend ?

I signed up forever ago..but being that I am closing escrow in under a week on a house and my fork seals blew out the other weekend I am having second thoughts of not racing it. But then I just watched the course preview video and am thinking I may show up and just line up in the back of my race and trail ride the thing. I mean I am all signed up and everything but hideously out of shape and havent really gone riding searous since June

I will be racing Sunday AM with the vintage bikes... last year there was one or two Sachs 125's that pretty much trail rode it.. I may hang back with them.

I am pretty sure I am gonna do it now.. Jeremy McGrath will be racing in my vintage class on a '73 Elsinore ... So one day I can tell people " hey i use to race with him"

you can still show up and race just make sure you sign up 2hrs before your class runs but it is expensive $$$
