Just the scope & carry handle mount....I got off easy considering the ideas that were flying around my head

Hear that! Went to Morton's yesterday to pick up a new helmet. Which led to discussion about the 700s, and then to discussion about the different courses offered in SC... ended up with a helmet plus a few new ideas flying around my head.

Yup. Another great day to the weekend. Started off at Poe's for breakfast. Most of us had the biker special. Good turn out. Another great day of weather.

After breakfast Mike and I rode over to the Gun Show where we met Jimmy and his sons. Jimmy helped me pick out the upgrade for the old 357. Like a kid in a candy store I walked out with a new Glock 19, Gen 3, 9mm. Thanks Jimmy !! Now I have to wait until next Friday to see it work. The wife wants to learn how to shoot.

Waiting to hear about the Brrrr ride. I hope you guys had a great weekend as well.

Saw your bike today Mike at the gunshow. You parked behind my white Roush Mustang (It had no tags on it

) I sold one of my AK's and came back out too see the pretty pumpkin of a bike.

I REALLY liked the 8-hr basic handgun course that I took w/ JHVA's wife. Sufficiently so that I am interested in continuing to take classes with them periodically.

Brrrr ride was Excellent, good riding, and night time bike tales around the fire pit with plenty of drink, ask Mickey about the Dual Sport ride.......

Looks like I missed out on a great ride this weekend, dang it.

All this talk and pictures about skid plates has got me thinkin, especially after BWDR added a nice dent in my header pipe, complements of a water break landing.

I just can't decide option 1: OHILNS front and rear so I don't bottom out, option 2: a huge skid plate so it just doesn't matter when I do, or option 3: both so I can ride / fly like Michhub.

My wife is going to love me for this........

Chuck, did you guys run shoe creek on the big bikes??

Andrew- no we only ran up to the second water crossing at Shoe creek with the big bikes...after the scare they put in me about you having a tough time just coming down on your GS. We(I) said hell no!!! Bu it was fun non the less. I need to work on my off road skill ALOT MORE!!!

Yea Shoe Creek is hoot, not sure I would have done it with the water up like it is. I keep telling Eddy and Chuck we gotta do it, one of these days we are actually going to have to ride it.

Maybe a Morton's Spring Fling advanced ride will be in order.

Shoe Creek + 1200GS with stock suspension, stock skid plate, and worn out Tourances = NAP But still a heck of a good time.

Poor stock suspension couldn't cope and I bounced off my line, then could get the traction I needed to power over a ledge. As a result I rolled back a few feet and plunked over, no harm no foal just good fun.
