Mmmm a comfy seat, something I've always wanted , lucky for me though I'm a blacksmith and when I'm not riding the DR I can use the seat for an anvil

Yeah age is a Barstid, I pulled up to a halt in some deep sand & folded the front end under last week.
I twisted my ankle pulling it out from under the bike & I'm still limping.

have been lurking for a while now - had an XR400 motard until recently and have just moved to a DR650 (stock but for IMS tank and bash plates)
I've been using Road and Race (Churchill Rd) for tyres for the XR which worked well as I knew what I wanted .. which is not yet the case for the DR :)

I've used GC on Mani North road eons ago ...

so - any recommendations for
1) commuting + 5% dirt rear tyre for the DR?
2) where to get it?

I'll pull the wheel off the bike and drop it off with whoever - I'm not ready to fiddle about fitting my own - no time this week!

Welcome Slapper. Mate, I reckon the best advice I get on tyres is from the boys at GC's on Main Nth Rd......If they haven't got it, they'll get in in.

Got my tyres from there. Great service and also got them balanced, so much better on the roads.

Slapper, for mainly commuting with a bit of dirt thrown in I'd highly recommend the Mitas E07 rear on the DR. Not sure where to buy in Adelaide I haven't run one for a few years but we'll worth a look.

+1 for the Mitas E07. Have been using them on a DR 650 for quite a while. Jason from Road and Race can get them for you.
