I spent the 3rd night in Cherokee NC . I saw a sign at a hotel for 40 something a night. It was an older place that had been in the same family for 3 generations. The lady told me they lease the land because only Cherokee Indians can own land on the reservation.

I camped at Doughton Park on the way back. There were only 3 of us in this section of the camping area. I guess it gets busy in the summer, but is always close to empty when I have been there.
