Craigslist Trials Finds...

In my area we have an old guy, Dan, that snatches up ever single good deal.With in minutes of them showing on CL.

So, Sunday I get home from a day of riding and there is a one line add -

Sherco and GasGas trials bikes $2000.

I was beat from riding all day and did not call. Figured it was $2,000 each.

Called the next day --- 04 Sherco and a 98 GasGas both for $2,000 and Dan was on his way to get them.

Dan got $2,400 out of the Sherco and $2,000 for the GasGas..

I hate it when people are only into bikes for the profit. I would have passed along the good deal on the GasGas and riden the Sherco every day.

250 cc two stroke. new grips ,renthal bars, new rear fender. was fun to ride .
have plate for it . street legal.

AAWWWWW!!! That's the 250 version of my baby! (I have an old 1980s Beta 125 TR33 model...)
I just sent this ad to my boss, who lives in santa barbara (and only comes to IL a week at a time) ... and who has loved playing around on our bikes here. how cool it would be if this got him into riding at home!!!

There's also a MINT 1993 GasGas JT-25 with the RSU forks off a '94, lighting kit, detachable seat, the works...it's in cinci for like $15-1600 I think...my sister txted me a picture of it at a yardsale sunday....I'll get more info on it if anyone's interested

Does anybody actually buy or bid on a used trials bike without having rode it? Having only ridden used trials bikes (was all we could afford, over 3-4 yrs old) up until 1995 or so when I had a ride on a bike that was only one 1 year old I couldnt believe the difference in power. Older bikes had a flat power band, probably needed a rebuild, whereas the newer bikes had a more scrambler 2 stoke power band (but smoother than a mx bike obviously).

Id almost be tempted to offer the dude in denver 2K shipped to NY....but it could be beat to piss
