That day I was a lonesome trialsmaster, the hill in rio rathole was a parking lot. Being in a dodge van I crossed the median and made the hill against traffic! Trials on!!

I was reminiscing with a long time club member not long ago, that AVTA in Wichita KS, has canceled 1 event in about 25 years. Not due to "riding" conditions as much as "travel" conditions... it was like 10F, it has rained the day before, changed to freezing rains, then froze to sheet ice on roads, and was kind of trying to snow that morning.

But most of the time, trials day has the best weather we've had all week! (knocking on wood as I type).

Say, when will NMTA post a 2013 schedule? The Utahns have a tentative schedule, which reminded me to see if CAT will leave some dates open....

The Utahns have a two-day at Cedar City [Three Peaks] June 8-9 which is a chance to mingle with the northerners on great rock.

Pachoon Gulch Nov 9 is outside of St. George, a spectacular reef of glowing orange sandstone well worth some driving.

The new NMTA schedule will probably be out in December sometime. You can pretty much bet at least the first three events (Feb., March & April) will be at San Ysidro. Usually the first weekend of the month, but sometimes the Feb. event will be the secnd weekend to avoid the Superbowl. Also working on a possible ADV / NMOHVA dual sport event in conjunction with our usual first weekend of June event at Sipapu Ski Area...stay tuned!

Just wanted to say thanks to Lance and the board for stepping up to cover me. I had to back out of being lower TM next weekend to stay home with Lisa who is recovering from knee replacement surgery. Y'all have a good time.

uh, can you be more specific about *who* on the board is setting lowers???

Not that I'm (the one that followed Lance through Beginner sections after he crashed his what, XR650 dual sport? through the logs) worried...

On the other hand. the small "blonde devil" has Beginner overall wrapped up so maybe it'll be set ok.

I've heard rumour only that Tony Herald stepped up to set lowers this week after returning from his big dual sport adventure...not sure if this is true or not. Maybe brewtus can enlighten us in the morning.

Seems our club is full of blonde devils these days! And seems they have all won their respective classes too!
