Just crossed the border at Laredo this morning and rode down to Torreon. Tolls were 1/2 price for bikes. Some had the new toll posted, others did not but they charged the new toll.

Synthetic Oil

I have been running synthetic oil in my engine and final drive for six years now. Does anyone know if it is available in Mex? It is not available in a lt of the SW, particularly the rez.

Now the bad news...it's not all the tolls.

Apparently there's a map. As soon as I get it I'll post it here.

The government giveth, and the government taketh away. I hope the exempt tolls are the 25 peso ones...difficult to make change...?

Damn, that updated list wasn't there yesterday or I'd have linked it.

Need to check if Morelos/Puebla is there at least to save me a few sheckles tomorrow.

Hi guys, in San Diego now after 10,000 miles across the US on the Super Tenere, ready to cross the border tomorrow. Is there any reason NOT to go through Tecate? Wait times seem so much shorter there - currently 10 mins vs 2 hours at San Ysidro.

Also - what's a good place to stay first night in Baja? Taking into consideration that the Baja 1000 is running right now. I guess a lot of places will be booked up.

Thanks!

Trevor.
