Super cool, but what the hell would you EVER use that thing for?
I mean it can't get more than 10mpg, topping out around 55mph, rides like shite, right? I guess you could plow a few miles of driveway if that's what you needed to. Again, I love the truck, I'm just trying to justify it in my own mind (or to convince the SO)

Don't ride too badly with the big, squishy tires on em. DO ride kinda rough with the old style military tires. They WILL do at least 65mph. AMHIK ![]() M

Only if it has true duals
![]() Miss my old power stroke ![]() Only let me down once at 210k about 250 miles from home when the vacuum pump seized and the belt melted on the pulley. Drove it to 3 closed parts stores with no power anything till I gave in and called AAA she was starting to get hot. |

My friend stopped by this AM to show off his new toy.
![]() White stuff around the windshield is frost. ![]() One owner, garage kept, 57,000 miles, just had the motor rebuilt, new computer, new battery. ![]() Got a great deal on it: elderly couple didn't use it any more, and were happy to see it go to a good home. Only serious problem: needs a new water pump for the sink. ![]() ![]() It's an '87. Water-cooled motor. Previous owner took delivery in Germany, then bought the truck back home after a trip around Europe.

Our old '74 Westy came with the same story. I think it used to be a popular way to go. Did I say I want that?
