South Western Ontario Riders

Anyone ridingtoday, took the sport bike out to charge the battery a little, was nice out.

Im not gonna be riding down to the Baja today as expected. i spoke with Adny and Neil Grider as well as Ricky Johnson and Tim Morton. Seems its not entirely safe to travel alone, which I can live with, but they said definitely not to use a tent alone.... All the rooms are prettymuch booked up. if that wasnt enough I would have to ride to Ensenada in 4 days, thats about 10 hours a day not including stops @ 100kph roughly. Add to this Snow in Colorado and heavy rain in Southern Cali and Baja Norte. I did las tminute this, so i was already not prepared fully, so Im gonna go in may/june for the 500 I hope. Anyone wanna come, let me know. riding down and back.

Anyone wanting to ride today let me know as well.

Wow so id have hit snow there too? Damn, glad i didnt go, was gonna wear my jo rocket summer textile jacket and a fleece underneath lol. My grip heaters arent working, dunno why but that would surely suck.

Maybe get some time off for the 500 may 31st to june 2nd plus riding and exploring time :-)
Either that or maybe the TCAT to Alaska would rock too.

Seriously thinking about finishing the TCAT from Ottawa & going East to St John's NL.

Hey there, a bit off topic, and maybe in the wrong place: but I'm looking to buy a BMW R80 or R100 1976-1980. Would be great if it was in the south western Ontario area. Say Windsor, Leamington, Chatham, Sarnia - ish.

It's for a possible winter project, but I would consider something in great shape as well.

I always wonder if someone has something they haven't ridden for a few years?

Hmm, it might be doable. It will depend more on my time off then anything and weather East vs West. I love it out east. Would like to hit the new Park in Labradour too. But prefence still lies with west and then north if time permits.

Just thought i'd mention this....
i was at Indigo yesterday and saw a few new Dual Sport mags I havent seen before. 1 was from the UK, forget the name now, but I will look again. the other was Motorcycle Escpae. Seems like Dual Sporting is slowly catching on over here. Erupe has alot more, they even surpassed Sport bike sales the 2nd quarter this year, not sure on 3rd and and 4th

I'll be out riding today. Kingsville, Heading #3 tojust past Robinson's, north through Coatsworth. Tilbury. Thames to Chatham (Timmies at the bridge), then back #2 to Windsor.

Leaving Shortly. I'm riding a red F650 gs twin.

(it's a common route so maybe someone from here will be out there)

man I took off at like noon so just missed your post, rode qwith about 8 buds on our sports bikes hit the kingsville legion and the essex legion to show our respects. You dont ride a red BMW looked like a 800 maybe 650 do ya? passed 1 on the way out of kingsville. If so that was me on the yellow CBR1000RR, curb side.

Cool, odd how things turn out like that. Some fat harley chick was in front of us she must have felt odd with 8 sport bikes behind her lol. Im off until nov 26th, and since Im not riding to baja Mexico as planned, Im free for riding around here anytime

hey guys, I was planning to go out of town but a buddy who rides sports bikes and wants to buy a cruiser is coming into town. Im trying to convince him of the coolness of Dual Sport and the community feel. he likes that about the cruisers /boggle

So, whats the chances you guys wanna get together at big Al's for some Long Way Series or even Dust to Glory, fitting as its actually happening as of tomorrow. Say Sunday evening????? Anyone interested? please let em know ASAp so i can call Big Al and set it up.

Hey Bud, I am tapped out with school and work until the 10th of December then I am pretty much free. However I could do something tomorrow night but that is even shorter notice.
