Taught at The Crucible in Oakland. It's a 2 day (11:00 to 5:00) workshop, on a weekend. If you decided to take it, I feel you should call before the class runs and find how many people are registered. If it's more than 5, drop out. The class max is 10 students, but there were 5 in my class. We were bumping elbows, and waiting for equipment. 10 would have been a disaster. Evan Wilcox is a great instructor. |

Magnetic parts holder chain bracelet. Glued a bunch of teeny magnets to a chunk of bike chain. ![]()

magnetic bracelet
ya know, that would seriously come in handy. i do a lot of building / maintenance / reapir of bicycles and there can be lots of smaller parts.
do you think the links alone could be magnetized the old-fashioned way much like a permanent magnet and a nail?

I think they would be kind of expensive... I would have to charge probably $10-15 and that wouldn't be making much for the cost of parts and time involved. Don't know if they're worth that much.

Whoa - a little behind on the MADE thread. It is all 1/2" PVC, except for the 3/4" coupling that holds the release pin (I used my lathe to open it up a little to fit over the tee). I also cut a grove in the 1/2" pipe that extends into bottle for an O-ring to seal the bottle, it's behind the coupling. There's also a 1/2" pipe cap on the bottom that's welded to the cultivator disk to hold it up. Thanks, it turned out pretty well for just being what I had laying around.

simple, stupid, and barely worthy of this thread, but...it works better than the handle of my shopping cart.

Handguards for my 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250
So the Old Gen Ninja 250's don't really have much space on handlebars to install handguards, and nobody really makes handguards for them.
I really needed some wind protection for winter riding (like this morning rode to work in 30°F), so I made these from scratch: ![]() Used some aluminum to make the frame, then fiberglass with resin, and then some bondo, then base coat of paint, matching Red paint, and Clear Coat. |
