2010 KTM 530 XC-W Six Days
I'm looking at a used 2010 KTM 530 XC-W Six Days that has about 250 hours on it. I understand that they cost just a tick under $9,000 when new. Assuming it's in decent condition, which it appears to be, what do you think I should be able to get this bike for? Also, would you consider this the right choice for dual sport riding (about a 50/50 split on/off road) or doing the TAT? Does KTM or someone else have a better solution than this bike? As an aside, I like well-engineered over cheap. Thanks.

530 is a dirtbike with a plate on it,not a 50/50 road/dirt bike. Some guys ride them almost road only though. Why, I dont know.
There are many better 50/50 road bikes out there. My DR650 is such a bike, not great at either but does both well. Guys buy a 530 cause its a flash bike, looks cool and gets comments parked downtown. Meanwhile the bike is wishing it was in the dirt.

Id have to agree w/Foot Dragger,, the 530 is way way more at home in the dirt, than the street. It is a Dirt Bike with a plate. All depends on how much you want to ride it on the road.. I personally am more comfortable on a DR or an XRL, example, for a 50/50 ride
