Naked, hooligan Tmax... I like. Yamaha have any plans to bring the 530 to the US yet?

Just attended the IMS show in San Mateo California and talked to the Yamaha reps and they hope it comes in in the year, but couldn't say for certain. They're blaming it on the tsunami messing up everything. I don't buy that in that it's available in Europe already, so what's the REAL problem other than the previous TMax's didn't sell well here and Yamaha is holding back? They're gonna lose out to the new BMW's that are here now...sat on those at the show and they're nice, but fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired. I still like the design of my current TMax best.

Also, I imagine they send as many as they can to Europe because that is the target market for those scooters and that's where it is most important for them to compete with the new BMW and other maxis they have over there. |

A T-max from RSD! Fah-reekin sah-weet!
I would buy that. I would ride that. I would pick up hotties on that. I would be the coolest kid on the block on that. |

So I guess Yamaha will not be bringing the Tmax 530 to the States but they are teasing us with a one off from a US bike builder.
I know there still are some Tmax scooters at dealerships but it would be nice to get the new 530.

I didn't see any wheelies, it s not a hooligan bike if you can't do wheelies. Just a loud ,expensive scooter.
