Keeping the wedding tackle comfy
Many years ago, I used to be a Nordic ski racer. I was never particularly competitive, but I made my mark on the mountains on Telemark gear later.
One of the unfortunate results of my ski career was that I frostbit the wedding tackle. Sad but true. We had a lousy coach. He kept us out in an open field for nearly an hour wearing only racing gear. Nordic racing gear offers virtually no protection against the elements. It was close to zero (F), with strong winds. The rest is history. I've had a sensitivity to cold in the lower regions ever since. I thought I was the only one with this affliction, until I rode with a Russian fellow this week. We stopped for coffee on a dual-sport ride. He went into the bathroom and stuffed a roll of paper towels into his pants. I'm going to invest in several pair of these: http://www.campmor.com/terramar-men-...i_kw={keyword} Lifa used to make something like them, but these look far more comfortable.

Thanks for that. I just ordered a pair to keep me warm while playing outside this winter.

I've always worn three socks when it's really cold.

Holy shit.
I have used 3/16" thick packing foam cut in a vee shape and stuffed in my britches to keep the boys warm in cold weather. In a pinch, stop at a FedEx shipping box and get a bubble pak mailer out of the supplies and slide it in.
