Glad to hear your alright Mike....I'd prefer to dodge the deer on my commute each morning then I-95 traffic...the deer are more predictable

Which Bilt jacket and boots are they? I just picked up a pair of the adventures for commuting only..not stiff enough for any off road riding.

It was 70 mph "indicated"

. However, with street biased tires and my 16 tooth front sprocket I can do that (probably 63-64 mph true) under 5000 rpm. Going to pull the wheel tonight. Can't seem to get the bike in neutral. May have tweaked the gear selector or the clutch lever when I hit on that side. Thanks everyone for all the words of wisdom and well wishes.

I was wondering the same thing. I commute from Spotsylvania to Stafford a few times a week and might be familiar with this area.

Glad you survived. I-95 is a rather adventurous stretch of road.

Sounds like your on the road to recovery Mike, hope you heal fast. We have never met but I have passed you going home in the evening while you were on your hack, my wife and I are on a 2011 Yellow GS Adventure. Speaking of hacks, I saw yours yesterday at Guy's garage. I dropped off a new to me 06 KLR for the doctor to operate on.

Ah ha! I saw you on I95 about a week ago heading South from Stafford. It was a cold day and I saw more bikes that day than I did on any summer day. Y'all were getting it pretty good. I was on the red 2008 GSA.

Yup, that was us, I remember seeing you. I/we normally stay out of the hammer lane cause it gets fooked up by cagers using electronic devices. The slow and middle lanes have become my friend over the past 22 yrs of commutin to DC. I normally use both lanes, weaving back and forth to keep the tires from flat spotting

, at least that is what I tell the wife.
