Should I be looking for a picture of your 2nd gear on a milk carton soon?

How many do you want? I have plenty of 'em unless you want the NX650 gear. Need a shift fork? You probably won't know until you open it up.

Brown Falcon... you're not any relation to the legendary BLUE FALCON are you??

Beechum1: Hope you find your missing gear; check the couch cushions yet?

So I was out ridding the cow trails today (this is western Kansas), and wasn't paying close attention to where I was going Ended up picking up some barbed wire and warped it around my speedo drive and cracked it to pieces :( anybody want to get rid of one before I head to ebay? I'd rather some one here get my money.

thanks

rsw usd triple scotts damper

I mounted up my RSW Racing triple clamp for CRF forks today... I got his steering damper mount also and I have an older Scotts damper that looks to be in good shape. I don't have the correct link arm for it yet BUT it appears that the damper is reaching its limit before the lower triple steering stop hits the frame steering stop. This seems bad to me because the damper and mounting is going to take the full force of a crash rather than the steering stops. There's a tiny loss of turning radius but I don't care much about that.

Anyone else have this same setup?

Should I:
- do nothing and ride it
- extend the steering stops
- get a new damper
- ???

Nope. Some guys in my shop just thought that since my last name is a color that starts with B they would make that my nickname.

Hey flyingwombat, your avatar pic looks familiar...

Which part do you need? #14, box assembly? I should have one. Do you need cable too?

You dont want the damper acting as a steering stop. It will play hell on the damper over time. Get your stops fixed so there is a hard stop BEFORE the end of the damper sweep.

I guess I will either extend the steel stop on the frame or drill + tap the steering stops so that I can add a screw. It might even be close enough that I could put a hose clamp around the steering stops. We'll see...

Thanks!

Yeah, it's big, but it is GREAT for commuting to school in the rain. Stick my books and lunch in there on the way to school, then stick my helmet and gloves in the box while I'm in class, then swap them when I leave.

It looks bigger in the pic than it really is. I don't even notice it on there when riding.

Thanks man. Yup stock rotor. Works fine for me. I want a sumo fender too but it's "winter" so it's going back to dual sport mode for desert time! Bike rolls good on 17's.
