Help. I've had my Tiger 955i for a few months now and love it. This is the bike I've been looking for, but it did not come with panniers. I'm thinkn\ing about three options for touring. First is getting the Triumph panniers, I found some for about $600.00. 2nd option is the Krouser panniers I've seen on Ebay. 3rd are the Touratech panniers at 1300. Any sugestions? I like the way the stock ones look and I like the aluminumn boxes too
I'm adding engine protection bars and lower footpegs, does anyone have any ideas about highway pegs? Thanks in advance for any input. |

When I was looking at panniers I looked at Touratech Zega's, but the price seemed too high. I ended up buying a setup from Happy Trails and have been very pleased with both the products and the company.
Here is a link to their products for your 955: http://www.happy-trail.com/Departmen...999-2006).aspx

On the cheap
I have less than $200 invested in these and that includes building the side racks. If your handy ammo cans may be the way to go.

I think the Triumph panniers are too small , I had givi´s E36 and E45 on my Tiger885.... I still have my Givis, now on my new Tiger800xc

Why did I automatically know you once owned or have owned a KLR? ![]() That KLR "ingenuity" seems to have floated to the surface. Glad you resisted using milk crates, brother. I have a KLR myself so I can give you the needle a bit, right? Love the Tenere by the way, couple buds of mine have them too.

OEM side cases look good and go on and off the bike easily... nice attachment system too imho. However, if you plan to go offroad and fall down, these will likely burst into a million pieces. Capacity is okay. OEM top case adds significant capacity.

Thanks
Thanks for the info. I like the look of the Givis but I'm leaning toward the H/T for durability and top loading. The ammo cans are cool but since I am the worlds worst fabricator probably not gonna work for me.

If you were over here in Australia i could build you something like this. Start with a heavy duty set of pannier frames and rear rack.
![]() Add some custom made alloy panniers. about 45lt each. ![]() ![]() Send to the powder coaters. Freight bike to Europe for adventure ![]() ![]()

just an idea

I have been considering these since I already have the SU racks on my Wee. Heavy fiberglass like this is damn tough. |

If you don't go with the Touratechs, Happy Trail is the way to go. Alluminum bags help crash protection. Just don't get your leg caught in them. Another choice is Wolfman expedition bags. Soft and waterproof. Have a set on my XR and will use them when I get a Tiger 800 XC. I am using Touratech Zegas on my 955i.
