Very Kool.. That 950 must have felt a bit portley in the sand compared to your steed. Hope that suspension linkage withstood those desert dune bike aerials..

Worth the wait!

Fantastic, Noah!

First, I don't think you give yourself enough credit for your photos. For a tech geek engineer type, you have a great eye.

Second - you may want to offer these pics to Giant Loop. I know they're big on the "can your loaded bike do THIS?" thing.

Great job. Glad you're having fun and glad the bike is holding up.

And that you still have it.

link

Noah,
Please tell me that you replaced the half chewed link along with the bolt!

You should also replace the bearings there as well.

Not yet.
It would have been impossible to get the parts before Morocco since we found it the night before. I plan on rebuilding all the bearings this winter. Even with the jumping I was doing.. it is still intact.

Yeah. I stayed in Porto last night and I'm in Peso da Régua now. Where are you?

Not worth filling the linkage with some weld in the meantime?

It is cast aluminum so welding it would probably make it weaker (I think).. at least around the welded area. Between now and Georgia, I don't think she will be ridden harder then she was in Morocco.
