WHAT:
The annual ADVrider.com rally for friends to meet in the heart of the Rockies for food, drinks and of course riding motorcycles. All ride are self guided or riders can get in with a group of locals to explore miles of single track trails, dual-sport routes that climb well above tree line into the high Rockies, or do adventure riding on the countless miles of gravel roads and remote twisty highways.

All this from the comfort and proximity of Buena VIsta, a great community with good restaurants, entertainment for the family and any kind of riding one could want within 30min.

With registration participants can enjoy a BBQ on the night of the 10th when prizes will be given away and we recognize the blunders of the weekend!

WHEN:
August 9th-11th, 2013

WHERE:
Buena Vista, Colorado at Arrowhead Point Camp Ground.

VENUE:
Arrowhead Point campground is located at the base of the 14,000 foot Collegiate Peaks and offers incredible views in every direction. Participants can choose to tent camp with the other ADVriders in the large and dedicated group area, or there are cabins and RV spaces on site as well.

Arrowhead Point is on the outskirts of Buena Vista and participants can stay in various hotels just minutes away, yet still enjoy the festivities. Each night the 1600 sq foot covered pavilion will be a gathering point for ride planning, BBQ, drinks, and BS .

RIDES:
None of the rides at Westfest are guided, nor part of the registration fee. All the rides are self-guided and participants can explore on their own or with a small group of fellow local rides who have amazing local knowledge of the area.









COST:
There is no better deal to see some of the best riding in Colorado!

-$45 for Westfest registration. This included the BBQ on the night of the 10th which will have give-a-ways and prizes.
($10 of every registration will go towards the legal defense fund of the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition)


-$45 for tent camping on the 9th and 10th at Arrowhead Point Campground.

**Any fees paid for Westfest are solely for the use of Arrowhead Campground and any activities on the grounds. None of the rides are paid events and there are no guided tours, organized rides that require a fee, or other services outside of Arrowhead Campground that require a fee to participate. Dirt Riders of Colorado and Dubinky LLC are not advertising such activities, nor endorsing any kind of guided tours or paid events during Westfest outside the private property of Arrowhead Point.

This post will give an idea of some of the various rides and routs that are all close and accessible from Westfest in Buena Vista. This is only a fraction of the riding available in the area and is meant to give riders an idea of places to go while at Westfest and what it has to offer. Please post up any additional rides.

SINGLE TRACK:
Taylor Park is just over Cottonwood Pass from Westfest and Buena Vista and offers one of the largest high mountain single track trail networks in the State.

Organized Events

This post will be updated and will have information on the rides that will be lead by volunteers and local ADVer's, as well as events going on during Westfest.


Events:

August 9th:
On Friday Night Westfest Sponsor, Deerhammer Distilling Company, will be offering special VIP tours of the distillery just for ADVers and then drink specials of their legendary whisky with amazing views of the Collegiant Peaks from the patio.





-Free Shuttle
So everyone can safely see the distillery and then also experience any of the other local bars and restaurants in downtown Buena Vista, American Adventure Expeditions will be providing a FREE Shuttle (please tip the driver still) that will run between Arrowhead Point and downtown BV between 3-9pm on Friday. All this is reserved just for Westfest attendees

August 10th:

I've never been to a West Fest. Been trying to go,
but have been stymied every time. This could be the year.
A weekend consecutive to the RMAR?

Sorry for the delay we are still working out the specific details,

But just a quick question on dates for anyone that is following this.....

I would really like to keep it at Arrow Head Campground in BV (same site as previous Westfests), but the only dates I am going to be able to get towards the end of the summer are the weekend of the RMAR (July 26-27) or Aug 9 and 10.

I am assuming the 9th and 10th would work best for most people???

Do it on the 9th and 10th. That way the truly hardcore can experience an epic Colorado Rally triple crown with RMAR on Aug 27th-28th, the Moose Run Rally Aug 3rd and 4th, and WF on the 9th and 10th.
