Me personally? I've documented a couple of SS1000 rides. 1031 miles and 1179 miles. Many other rides in the 500 to 1000 miles in a day. Now that most of my riding is 2-up, 500 mile days are the max, and the days usually are more like 300-350 on weekend campout trips.

Probably around 1100. Multiple high-mileage days and very high temps -- on a CC trip in August 2008, I left Omaha and had record heat all the way into Billings (via Cheyenne, to avoid Sturgis), where it was 98* upon arrival at 10 pm -- add to the need for a long recovery when the trip is over.
I was feeling good on my way home from Daytona one year and punched out a bit under 350 miles without putting my feet down (on an 1100GS with TT tank), a memorable leg for me for its ease. Every now and then the wind will be at your back. A well-setup bike really helps -- legroom, wind management and cruise control have become more important to me over the years. A CamelBack also helps, as does (surprisingly) a well-tweaked suspension. I don't listen to music. Surprised that no one has mentioned John Ryan yet.

A few fuel stops and a stop in Leadville for coffee. Great fun!

About 550 or 600 miles for me is my longest day.
For one reason or another I've never had a need/desire to go farther. I'm sure I can go farther if I need to be somewhere fast, just haven't needed to yet. I might plan a longer mileage 3 day weekend next summer and stick to highway just for the heck of it, never really gave much thought to that before. |

About 750 miles from San Diego to Las Vegas with a scenic detour through Death Valley (from North to South). The Death Valley section was 50/50 dirt and so bloody hot! Trip took about 12 hours and I was completely wiped-out by the end.

I was not including gas pumps that don't have a card reader in that statement.

1530 miles in 23hrs 9 minutes on my Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere. Surprising how easy it is to rack up the miles on this ADV bike!

Kansas City to Denver NC
This summer on the way home from the RA rally I decided that Id had enough being away from home and decided to get back. I left Kansas City near the Garmin Facory and headed home. 970 miles. Left at 7am Kansas time and got home about 10:30 Denver NC time.
Ive done a couple of 1000 miles in 24 hour days to get Iron Butt certified but those were planned and really were not a huge deal. That 970 coming home was tough. I was a little punchy when I got home. Bud |

The most miles I've done in 24 hours was approx 755 miles. This was a round trip to Le Mans. I did watch the MotoGP while I was there too
