I had to turn back in Tampico. Work sucks! But it was great while it lasted.
I watched the video of the Zombie ride. Looks like fun and challenging too. I'm trying to organize a Last Day of the Year ride from Natural Falls south along the river to Tahlequah if your up to it. All back roads.

Not sure about the low water crossing of the Illinois. If you want to ride up there and check it out we can. I did confirm with the Natural Falls park and they welcomed for us to start the ride there. All are welcome, we just having fun.

Perhaps if we put the Last Ride into its own thread we might get more participation?

I remember driving across that low water crossing years ago while doing some surveying in the area. We thought it was cool so we took pic's. I'll have to see if I can dig them up. It was back in the pre-digital days.
Are the falls flowing at Natural Falls? It's been kinda dry this year. We had an invite to go last weekend but we had the kids and couldn't make it. |

Yes, it looks like justa few miles. I made this map by typing in Natural Falls and then Chewey into Google, then you have to drag the line to the back roads. But click this link and you can zoom in to the river crossing.
