I was wondering why my dominators rear running light wasn't working...
I thought it may have been the bulb but it wasn't. The bulb housing has literally just corroded away so some genius had Sellotaped the bulb in place. Off to the breakers to mo to see if they have a replacement! ![]() Notice the rusting and rotting brown parts.

It seems like every bike has some botched up repair job from a previous owner. While I'm working on removing the stain from the speedo plastic, does anyone know to remove this? It appears to be some type of cement holding the bottom of the fairing to the mount. The key is to remove it without damaging the rest of the plastic. I used a grinder to grind it down a lot, but I still have this blocking me from mounting the plastic air guide. I was hoping some kind of solution soak would dissolve it, but not remove the paint from the fairing. If not I suppose I can leave it there and just drill a hole through it. But if something will remove it that would be great, because the previous owner also decided to use this all over the carb to stop a leak. I already installed a brand new XR650 carb, but I still have the old carb, and I'd still like to get it off. I'm also thinking I might find this elsewhere on the bike.

Dear Friends
I don't know what to do next ![]() My other engine of my domi got it complete with a new piston etc. But 1000km later it also cracked and I was grinding over the floor. ![]() But now I don't trust that engine anymore because it is the 2nd time. So I bought an other Domi for parts and stuff. And used up the Engine, Everything worked fine until I needed to pull out the air out of the oil pump...... Tryed several things, Now the pump do pump oil throught the under channel [not the left one] So i mounted my oil filter back in place loosen the banjo at the top and started it on the startmotor, No oil coming out. and the battery was getting empty. Charged it up for 1 day. The other day I checked again there was oil coming from below, layed down my motorcycle, put the oil filter compartment full of oil, so there is no air inside it. Put my motorcycle upright started it Waited for some time around 40sec. And there is also no oil comming out off the top. What to do ![]() The only thing I can think, remove the pump from the engine aind do it like the manuel :S

Check the rubber hoses that go from the frame tank to the engine, I have read that can get kinked and blocked off...
Also, if you haven't removed/cleaned the fitting and screen from the bottom of the frame oil tank, it might be worth doing... There's a vent pipe that goes from the rocker/valve cover to the frame oil tank, I removed that from the rocker cover and put a little air pressure on it to pressurize the oil tank and force the oil through... With a small amount of air pressure, the engine only needed cranking over a few times before the oil is coming out the banjo fitting on the head... Good luck :) Edit:

Have tried it with a bicycle pump, That needed to be enough pressure.
But I only did it to control if there is oil coming inside the oil compartment. and that does. But when i close it up. It aint reaches my head :S ?

Heating the vinyl with a hairdryer makes it easy to stretch as well.
I use a Black and Decker Power shot stapler, its not electric but it puts the weight forward when you use it, not at the back. I also use stainless staples. I'll be redoing one soon, as soon as I decide what colour I'll be going with...... |
