Don't want to open a can of worms here, but... I fail to see where the AT is weaker than the Varadero...

Unless you mean weaker in terms of having less engine power.

Yes, you're right. That's the correct definition.

Hi there! I haven't been around here for a while. I have a 97 rd07a with some front end damage in Barcelona city.

Due to life's circumstances I'd rather sell it to someone will make good use of than fix it up myself.

If any in Europe is interested in buying it, or knows someone who might be, please get in touch with me via PM.

Thanks!

Looks like a nice bike , but reserve is probably set at 10K , so no matter how much everybody love's AT's save roughly 3K more and get a new Super Tenere ...

That's too much !!!
Here in Greece, because of the financial situation, you can find the exact same bike in excellent condition for 2.500 euro ~ 3.200$ +1.500$ for sending it over the Atlantic.

It's the Hidden Costs

...............but you're not counting the fees for importing in through our Dept of Transportation (DOT) and getting it registered and insured in the socialist state of California.

True there are fees here but the real cost is the Bail Bond from the assault charges you will have after dealing with the above bureaucrats.

This machine is within 300 miles of my house and I'm fairily interested. I agree that 10K is a bit much and if I had that RD07 and a new Tenere sitting cheek by jowl, it would take a few test rides and a lot of chin-stroking to decide between them.

If the bike was in the 4-6K range I think I'd jump on it.

And to be fair, Mario has a lot of very nice things added on to the original machine.

Agreed, 10 is a lot, but it s a collector item on this side of the ocean. That brings the AT in a different category.
No it is not comparable to the tenere nor should it be
Rationale is different with collectors item, there is no buck/performance relation in the equation.
I understand the from Europe.... ( how much does an old corvette cost on the Champs Elyses?)

We know Mario takes great care of his bike, well farkled..............i think we know at what price it will go.

Hope you find a job soon, very soon Mario and ,keep this beauty
