Not a Combat, just a lowly Ace 90. Since that pic was taken I have put the correct front fender on it and replaced the engine seals and bearings. If the MT you referring to is a Honda, either leave her alone or see if you can find a CR top end, carb and pipe for it (be sure to research that but I think it will fit). That'll wake her up a bit.

We have one of those just sitting in a storage building. It was my dad's back in the day-bought it new in '74. It's in really bad shape though. After he died, my brother and his friends pretty much trashed it. I don't know that it would be worth trying to restore.

I'll be damned... a friend of mine just picked up a '75 model just like yours, same color even. His is missing a carb jet. PO took the carb apart and lost the jet, put it back together and forgot about it for a decade or so. My bro bought the bike for a hundred bucks.

![]() Trying to get the down-low on what aluminum swing arms fit the XT's. Some say an older Suzuki will fit. Better stop myself, don't want to hijack this thread into another XT/TT thread.

My dad always called it the "Lemon Drop Special" cause I used to break it so often when I raced it, lol. It didnt break from poor quality, it was more from overstressing the bike by trying to ride it beyond its design perameters. I flat tracked it on Saturday nights, then re-configured it to race motocross on the following Sunday morning...man, those were fun times. |

Does anyone know about these bikes? I was wondering if i might be able to get away with throwing a cr250 or mt250 engine into the frame? Or am i just day dreaming?... Can't seem to find any mt250's for sale. Or 125's! |

![]() Why yes sir, it is a 1975. Only 250 Enduro that was lighter that year was the Bultaco. By a pound maybe. A wolf in sheeps clothing this one is. Only big differences between these and the Cappra (the MXer), is the piston skirt is a tad longer, to tame it down a bit, the lights, 1st gear is a bit lower, 5th a bit taller, and that's it. I'm lucky to have grabbed it...................... motogrady screwed with this post 11-21-2012 at 08:31 PM Reason: need pic |
