VL1500 & Dnepr hack

I picked up the VL1500 about a year back on the Europe forum (sorry Toastmuncher...) bechromed and bright yellow. Instantly christened The Tinsel Banana.

It has no, but no, cornering ability as a solo (and it's, frankly, as embarrassing as, well, wearing a cravat). What choice then but hang something on the side? Also lose as much chrome, backrests, general crap as possible and go retro. Hot rod black or desert sand? Decisions....Oh, and organize some brakes. The single piston caliper on the front is sadly lacking.

Anybody got any subframe pics? Also I'm thinking of fabricating some leading legs. The hack arrives by truck from the Uk in a week or so (right hand 'cos I'm in Portugal). Any thoughts on wheel lead and how much trail reduction much appreciated.
