I agree with you but have moved on. Place is dead. Ride elsewhere. You can complain, write letters, do trail work, vote, give money to NMA, etc. etc. - Reiter is dead. Very sickening as it has turned us into helpless, controlled fools who abide by the DNR's creed of Do Not Ride.

The only hope is that the hikers turn to the new opportunity of being eternally stoned and DE-motivated to recreate. Keep their interests urban instead such that they lose concern for a dirt bike in the woods.

Howdy shrubitup,

I haven't ridden at Rieter for over 10 maybe 12 years, I said fuck it as soon as the started to shut it down and deny trails that had there for decades. Like you, now that pot is legal here in the PRoW, I am hoping the seattlites will just sit around and get high and leave the rest of us the fuck alone.

We don't deserve to have that land, all we do is dump garbage on it. Oh wait, that's someone else who does that. And if I catch tem fcukers I'll not hesitate to dress their garbage with their slowly removed intestines. Anyway, I'm shooting to be at Walker at 930 or 10 t'morra need to work over my new to me bike, we'll call it a TEST ride.

i used to wheel reiter in my rock buggy,it was awsome. bikes and wheelers all got along good too! one time we camped at the rock garden on thursday, on friday a bunch of guys said we would have to move or be subject to the 24 hour endurance race they were starting, we said great it will be good entertainment! and it was.
i seen the pics on my local 4x4 forum and am dissapointed, looks like a gravel 200ft section flat and youd have to go out of your way to climb the rocks they placed. not worth my drive.

I remember that..
. The Buttstomper was the toughest 24 hr race around and also the funnest. where else do you get to see pole dancers serving you a drink in the middle of your laps.Of course, I never stopped during my laps, but you know I went back sometime during the night.
Damn I miss reitter..

it will NEVER be the same. look at tahuya, it was the model site for the dnr, there is a lot they dont like about it,sooo now reiter will be that spot and will be wheelchair accesable.
the worst part is all the greenpeace , and i dont mean that bad because i was a climber, ive climbed all 14 of the highest peaks in wash. and raced mt bikes in the mid 90's, but these people have millions of acres to fumble around on and want our land too! give wheeler/bikers a awsome spot and they wont complain. we have very few spots to ride compared to them, hell wouldnt it be nice if the local state park had some moto trails?

Too many people around here. BC has fantastic riding opportunities and fewer people to argue about who gets to use the land.
Reiter could have survived if the DNR had taken charge and managed it as an orv area. They turned their head until it was a wreck.

Howdy All,

What most fail to realize is that the wreckage was part of a plan, those who wish to close an area simply allow it to be over used so they have a reason to step in and "save it for the childern". This happens over and OVER, they take a little bit of land from us a piece at a time that results in more people using less land which leads to "wreckage" which leads to CLOSURE to preserve it. WAKE THE FUCK UP, and SEE what is going on, but no you fools just keep voting the same bastards into office and then cry because you have no place to ride.

It has been said that the definition of insanity, is keep repeating the same action over and over again while expecting a different result. Well if that is true what is happening politically can only be classified as INFUCKINGSANE.

With all due respect, sir, it's not that simple. There are a great many--a majority in your state of WA last election, I believe--who might be generally characterized as believing that we'd see a lot of 'wreckage' in other aspects of our society if we just simply elected in all right-wing, conservative tea-party types. As we've witnessed with the partisan stalemate we've had at the federal level, nothing's gonna get done without balance and compromise. And to that we should wake the fuck up.
