We are really, really enjoying your adventures.

It sounds like you made a good decision to leave San Pedro. Some day, when you are much older, you will return and discover that you don't hate the place. In the meantime, forget about it and move on. You have many great experiences ahead of you, I am sure.

Now, on that power sliding HD of yours, we will all be VERY interested in what happens to it. This thread is building into a novel, with many interesting sub-plots (kindly Guatemalan women/tuk-tuk drivers/shop owners, protagonist with a good heart but who can't weld to save his life, evil brother who mods the HD in the protagonist's absence, girlfriend waiting at the airport in Peru...). So far you have sucked in a couple dozen readers, I think.

Hey Ulyses, great ride report. Loved the Tuk Tuk stories. It's probably just as well you didn't have a good experience with the Space Gravy or you'd be trying to find some hair to braid and be sitting on the sidewalk making bracelets.

I'm chillin in a little Nica surf/beach/tourist town. Time to catch up on necessities like ride reports.

Just got caught up on your ride report. Sounds like a great trip, space gravy excluded!
A friend of mine spends one, sometimes two months a year, January & February, in San Pedro. He plays a Paraguayan Harp.

He plays in a few restaurants down there for his food and a little pocket change. He has met some really cool musicians from all over the world in San Pedro!
I believe he told me two years ago, after everything was said and done, his total expenses were basically the round trip plane ticket. I've got to get down there to see the place, expats excluded, hopefully on a bike!

"Just did a lot of offroading to get to Shemuc Champey. Broke my luggage rack again and got bit by a German Shepherd. Spent yesterday morning welding things back together. Won´t have much internet for the next few days. Will post back later!"
