Oh I dunno...............engine, tank, most of the frame, heat shield, bashplate,

I kinda like it - just maybe a bit too angular for me - but then it's trying to merging the current style on a 30 year old design.

Absolutely agree - it would be a very dull planet otherwise

Too KTM-alike for me to call it an AT...

Question WP front

Have a question about WP front fork.
I wanna replace fork with WP, I know it's better to do it with WP from KTM 950/990 Adv, but it's hard to find it... And anyway I should replace springs and revalve it.

So can I use KTM LC4 625 smc fork for replacement? 300mm(if I'm, correct) travel is the same as KTM Adv has. And what should I do with this fork (springs, revaling)?

Thanks ahead.

I've always wondered but I'm not brave enough to try that with my RD07A.

Full compression ... that reminds me, is this a bad spot to mount my Baja Designs SII LED lights?

Not my bike

Got 2 of these to mount

I'd go for a spot on the top leading edge of the crashbar.

Dunno about the ATs in particular but I'd bet the lights in the first picture get a bit tweeked at full fork compression.

Yeah that's my first thought too.

Judging by where stone blasting marks and branch scrapes appear on my DR, the top leading edge of the crash bars may still be a little low and possibly too exposed, especially when you throw in the inevitable sand induced offs I'll encounter.

I suppose I could shape a custom bracket off the indicator mount. Or maybe get really tricky by fabricating a mount bar to subtley poke out the fairing ducts. Has anyone done or seen this?

My '99 RD07A is finally going to get the MOSFET upgrade. It may not be a mandatory mod but it surely is a good one. Even at 80 k kms. my current old style shunt R/R is still putting out and I also carry a new spare R/R which I will probably keep.
My new to me '96 Transalp uses the same R/R SH538D-13 so I'll just have to swap a connector over to make it work for the TA.
I think what sold me the most more than anything was the new generation water proof connectors. You never know when you might go for a swim.

Anyhow...I opted to buy the stand alone MOSFET FH020AA over at Jasonmotoelectreix.

The harness(s) were bought separately from Jim over at Eastern Beaver which is part A&B at the following link.

http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/El...onnectors.html

It's pretty much plug n' play with this setup. From the pic you can see the final 3 phase yellow connector (no particular order) and the + and - leads to the battery. The 30 amp fuse holder is waterproof and quite robust as also seen in the pic.

Garage is sub zero at the moment...installation will have to wait.

It's like Christmas here too. Funny what you find when you clean the garage. More AT and TA parts for sale here.

Squily, I heard that laugh all the way over here. It was like Mwahahahaahhaha!!!
