Cool video I found... Talks about the development of the bike a little bit.

That vid is not doing me any good regarding my not lusting for one even more. The only bike I ever bought brand new was a 1972 CB750 in Wisconsin as an MP serving at Camp McCoy.

Cool Video
That was a great video. This is the bike for me. Linda and I had a new 1969 K0 which cost $1495 out the door. I'm ready for this new CB1100.

At 140 with the fairing on the 1200 it is oddly smooth and turbulence free, gets all quiet. The Germans and their Autobahn have the right idea. Nothing wrong with a little sporting spirit.

I did some catch up maintenance as it had been sitting awhile, only had 14000 miles on it with hardly a scuff. Ive grown to like it alot,big/smooth/comfy with the Corbin seat anyway. I usually just cruise around enjoying the nice midrange and low end, doesnt need to be revved to go places. With the stock rear luggage and top box it holds plenty of stuff for camping then plays sportbike on Sunday rides. Triumph builds some nice bikes.

Liked the video quite a bit. I may ride a bit more than their targeted buyer but the type of riding I mostly do really fits this bike. Reminds me of when I had an accessory laden CB900. Nice bike to just cruise and eat up the countryside.

What cost $1495 in 1969 would cost $9043.79 in 2011. Not out of line, especially considering the $9300 price some of us have been quoted.

I've seen them on Guzzi's and heard they are quite sturdy and protective from the elements.

Yeah, H&B make good stuff.
A set of aluminum boxes on one of these would be... thrilling and disappointing all at once.
