Seriously, though...LostViking shows why the typical GS owner really belongs on a R. If you want a little more torso wind protection, the Scout fairing will do the trick, but you're still out in the open on a real motorbike.

My sentiments as well. Maybe that's a reason there are so many used GS's for sale out there. Too much bike for most jobs.

GS better for taller folks and ones that think the adventure depends on the name of the bike.
It can be an adventure on any bike. Sent from the phone in my shoe. Maxwell Smart.

I was at the dealership today throwing my leg over nearly everything I saw. Out of all of the uprights the 1200R fit me best, actually, it felt perfect. A test ride might be in my future. Is it at all possible to do some 2-up touring with these things?

According to my girlfriend the passenger seat is great.
Almost as much room for two as my RT She does not like the wind from my Parabellum windshield. It suites me OK. There may or may not be better, LIke I said last bike was an RT ![]() We returned from Bradford PA to Medina NY in a day taking all back roads like this one. It rode like a dream. Much easier for me to handle than the RT two up.
