+1 The Connie was meant to be ridden, not polished.

My dad kept nice bikes, even detailed them once in a while, but he was known to say, "I'd rather ride than rub!"

That is a good looking pipe and it certainly sounds good enough. CB mentioned the heat from the stocker bazooka tube and I never considered that. Good way to sway the missus I suppose, as long as it isn't loud enough to attract JohnnyLaw.

MY Leo Vince (with the insert in)is the exact dB rating as stock. It's much deeper though. And of course I already mentioned the MASSIVE heat difference.

Oh, it's purdy too.

I've been looking at upgrading to Concours 14. My question is for those of you that have had or are curently riding a 08 or 09 model would you buy the same model again or is it worth it to spend a bit more and get a 2010 or 2011??

Looks more blue than black, and that makes it, most likely, a '10, although a '13 is also a possibility.

2010+. Worth it for the goodies IMHO.

Agreed. I love my 09, but the 10+ adds a lot of niceties.

If you want the electronic goodies, you need to go with the `10+.

I bought an `09 because I don't care for the redesign of the fairing. Plus Candy Diamond Red has not been offered since.

Also, if you're a pussy about heat, get the `10+.

It's a 2010, pushing 40,000 miles. I really need to take a look at those valves at some point.

I have an 08 and the only "upgrade" I thought was worthwhile was the heated grips. So I added them for $40 and skipped the TC and linked brakes, which would actually turn me away from the GTR1400 if I was buying one now. Also don't have a problem with any more heat than most other faired bikes I've ridden.
