We looked through a huge pile....they even brought up some from the back. Left with a bunch.

If you are looking for a dinner place near Clifton Mill, Yellow Springs is about 3 miles west of there. You could try Peach's Grill (biker vibe), Ha Ha Pizza, or Young's Jersey Dairy (counter service meals in south building, sit-down style in north building). Clifton has zero other choices and will be packed on a Friday and I doubt the mill will be serving anything other than hot cocoa and cookies. At the other end of the spectrum, Ikea has all-beef hot dogs for 50 cents. -Mike

Thanks, I'll keep those for future reference. We did this last week.

Might take my mom to the mill, I think that would be something she would enjoy. Thanks for the food choices around there.

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggggg if they put real adventure or dual sport wheels on that thing it'd be a fricken hell of a cool bike! Sub klr pricing... New tech.

That being said, it's a baby multistrada at a great price point. Potential there, but, IMHO, they just missed the mark.

No BMW's have 21" front wheels and no one complains about them?

It looks just about as dirty worthy as GS650 or Vstrom

I think Mikes talking about spoked instead of cast wheels, but even if Honda doesn't offer them, I'm sure the aftermarket will come up with something. And until we get more details, like weight and fuel capacity, its just a very interesting maybe. Its potentially a more light off-road capable offering than the NC700x, with its 472 lb wet weight. I'm thinking (hoping) that the 500X might come in around 400 lbs wet. If so, put some more aggressive treads on it, maybe raise that front fender an inch or two and it could be very fun.

edit: just reread the article - 4.5 gallons fuel capacity...if it gets 50+ mps (likely) thats a decent 200+ mile range

I like the looks and some of the tricks the 700 has (like the underseat fuel tank and a trunk big enough for a helmet). Honda is way behind in the adventure touring market, I'm interested to see what this bike is all about.

None of the R-series do, correct. But the F800GS and the G650GS Sertao have 21" fronts.

Actually, when I said adventure or dual sport wheels, I meant 19" front (to compete with vstrom or bmw650) or 21" (to compete with the new husky/BMW terra and the klr).

The picture looks to me like a 17" front wheel. If I'm wrong I take it all back, but if it does turn out to be a 17" front, I stand by my original statement that they missed the mark.

Edit just read the specs. 17" front and rear. Still think it's as capable as a 650gs or vstrom?
