Rusty - have you checked out the off road vstrom thread? May be what you're looking for. I had my Wee back to the mountain yesterday. Roads too rough for passenger cars, but not bad enough for 4wd; couple stream crossings. With a set of Anakees or Shinkos the Wee does well enought for anything in my area. My skills are much more limiting than the bike.

Suzuki V-Strom........one of the most hidious looking bikes ever to make it to market.
Found one with a little potential though........once he gets that rear wheel changed to spokes!

Been contemplating spokes. More ground clearance would be a huge improvement overall for my type of riding.

Custom made by the first owner. Unbelievably burly. Thicker aluminum that any other brand I've ever seen, hard-mounted to the frame in 3 places each side, plus steel bars across the back. I've had 5 serious offers from other V-Strom riders to buy them off my bike while on dual-sport trips.
