I love the ride reports, all of them, but once in a great while someone really rings the bell. What wonderful reading! I don't have to see what you did to feel the rush. Great story, and I can't wait for more! Keep riding, and keep posting, please.

Nice!

[QUOTE=vtwin;20146749]RuffnTuff, yea Pink Mountain was pretty much a bump in the road. That lady at the gas station tried to talk me into the campsite as well.

I ended up staying here, hmm, that campsite may have been better after all.

Your thread had me cruising though Craigslist looking at Radians. Must resist.

1986 Yamaha Radian - $400 (morgan hill)

was going to rebuild but do not have the time $400 firm. does not run

Phone calls only please

Ha ha nice pictures of Pink Mountain! Glad I inspired you to get a Radian :) ...im sure it would be worth your wild. Sure is a reliable bike. This one looks good too, wonder why it's not running...i've been looking for a parts bike for mine. I need a fender and tail piece but don't think I can buy one in California ;) I'd like to restore good ol' faithful here in Virginia, and let it rest for a bit.....well for a day or two...maybe.

Best line ever written by a adventure rider in my very humble opinion.

I made a trip from Idaho to Inuvik last summer in remembrance of my father. Your thoughts bring tears to this 57 yr old man's eyes. I have forwarded your rr to my 25 yr old SINGLE son, the last of three boys, telling him this is your dads idea of a perfect woman. Grit and determination will get you a long way in this life. Good things happen to good people. Looking forward to the rest of your rr.

I posted a link to your story on my Facebook page. I want all my riding friends to read it and quit whining! I hope that is ok.
I'm thankful you have been so touched with my report! I'm deeply flattered although I'm sure I'm far from a "perfect woman"...:) We all have flaws somewhere. I'm honored for you to share it on your facebook. I'm happy to share it with anyone who wants to read it. I hope to one day get it all in a book, when it's finished. Thanks for all your support and encouragement.

Anna, your touching RR put tears into eyes several times. I fully understand the feeling that you want someone be proud of you, especially someone you love so much. Believe or not, that's the reason I started ride. And my that special person left me recently, maybe he will come back one day, maybe he will never come back. That the trip you had, the RR you wrote is like a therapy to you, then reading you RR is like a therapy to me. I hope one day I could get as tough as you...

Looking forward to read more and thank you so much the inspiration you bring to me!

A book would be awesome. I have read a lot of adventure books and your Ride report is better than most.

Like the first mile of your ride, you have to write the first line. In your words at the start of this whole experience, it will be hard and you will be flooded with emotion. But you need to start the engine and twist the throttle girl. Looking forward to buying the first volume.
