FWIW, I got two used ones sitting in my back yard. Come Spring I plan on making one helluva swing set outta the two. Maybe a rope bridge connecting the two "towers.". Two slides, two climbing walls, climbing ropes, etc. Gonna buy new chains and swings. It's gonna be badass.
I am thinking the kids can have nerf dart gun battles between the two, maybe each one will have its own flag to capture ![]() ![]() . My plan is to put them in the ground with 4x4's. i am not a big fan of how they just sit atop the ground nowadays. Get some parts and make up the rest on yer own..... ![]() The last thing you add is one of those fake plastic owls up high on a broom stick, that keeps all the other birds away that poop all over the things. Damhik. Those fabric looking roofs in your links go to crap In a short time. The ones out front of toy r us and Walmart are kinda cheap, they'll work, but I tend to over build stuff.....it's more fun too. sloMark screwed with this post 12-06-2012 at 11:05 AM |

Man!! That's a lot of money wrapped up in those things!! The one my boys have is nowhere near as nice, but it works. I picked up a couple of old play sets from Craigslist and cobbled them together. One came with a regular slide and a friend found a twisty slide at a yard sale so they've got a two level, two slide structure with a climbing rope and swing. I'm considering adding bridge to a second tower that would be enclosed, like a clubhouse/fort.
There's lots of stuff out there on CL that might be a good starting point, if you're not opposed to getting creative. G

That's what I thought too, so I designed my own and had my daughter help me build it.
