July 4th is what most of the locals told me... I left MS on July 13 of 2012 in my Jeep with my daughters and there was very little snow anywhere. Everything was open. There are several good websites that give good trail updates and pass statuses for reference. Already thinking about returning in 2013! Most awesome place I've ever ridden!
