Awesome
Radioman,
Your's is truly an epic tale I have enjoyed from the start. I have been inspired by both the geographic distances and spiritual paths you have traveled. I am moved by your obvious gratitude for the experience. Thanks for letting us travel along with you. Jibby. |

Congratulations Mark!!!
![]() Is that the only theft you have experienced during all of this time, all of these countries and thousands and thousands of miles on the road?? I for one would consider that to be pretty darn lucky! I'm sure happy your wallet, ID, bank cards, and other credentials are still safe and sound! Heck Motoport would probably send you a brand new pair just for the great exposure you are giving them.....anyone know anyone at Motoport?Again, Congrats on this accomplishment!!

Congratulations, My Friend!
Best. Post. Ever.
I can remember almost 16 months ago, asking my Manager at Work to work the next day from home, because I had a guest coming to stay. She asked, "Is this a friend you've known for a long time?" "Nope!" I replied. "Just some guy I met on the Internet." ![]() And man, am I ever glad I did. ![]() ![]() For those that have the opportunity in the future, you need to realize that Radioman is not a stranger, but just a friend you haven't met, YET. I'm so proud to have met Mark and hosted him in my home. Mark, your Ride Report is like my morning paper. The mornings when I get up at 0430 to go to work, I open the computer, log on to ADV and then sit with my breakfast and coffee and read your latest adventures and view your pictures. That stop usually entails a check of your SpotWalla Page as well. I'm so glad that the Adventure is taking you to a whole different part of the world... I'll still have some GOOD news to read every morning! So, my friend, keep riding and keep seeking the adventure you're looking for. We're all still here, following along and enjoying the ride.

Mark:
I remember a couple years ago sitting with you at a pizza place in Oakland talking about what you would do when your time with Chris would end. The idea of a RTW was daunting and you weren't sure what to do - jump back into work or take time to ride around. Your resolution to go on this trip - unknown outcome - rather than just going back to work - is right in character for you. You're making the dream and then making it come true - very cool. Now get a picture of onna those flightless birds on Antarctica! <(")
