Does anyone have a set of Kouba Links floating around??

If the emigs are not to your liking a have a never installed set of Kouba Links that came with the sale of my bike. PM me if you are interested.

BMW annouces a F700 and F800 and we lose both the 640 and 950/990 to an 1100 for the gravel road guys.

I too thought about the 690 + Rally Kit but that gets expensive for something that some times looks hodge podged

no way, Skibum! you will not get rid of me that easy whenever you come down here... I'm still waiting for you, just on a different ride.

Would it be possible KTM is planning something we don't see coming...?

It's hard for me to imagine KTM is so far away from the needs of its customers...

I always hear rumors but never anything more. For now I plan to run my 640 and 950 as long as they can survive. The 640 has 24k miles on it and she may not run or look like new but she sure beats a KLR!

The 950 has recently turn over 100K+ kilos (61k miles).

This fairing was made by Pete640 . You can contact him, he used to have one for sale, I think he sold it but you could try ... Other than that, I made my own high rise version, I could help you out with this if you like the one below.

Thank you for your input! Did you make it out of the "older" version of ADV fairing - two pieces one? I've got the newer one and don't want to cut it...

I did not cut mine either

I bought an older style fairing from ebay.de They come on sale from time to time so you better watch there. Then I made another upper part to my specs from polycarbonate. I bet you could kill somebody if you hit him with it

... Next stop to make one out of CF

Hello all.
Finally broke down and registered here today. Spent the last 5 years mostly active on BadWeatherBikers forum for my Buell Ulysses, and before that on the ealier days at KTMTalk.

Fell back in love with my '01 640 LC4 (no, not an Adventure, but this seemed the closest fit here) on Saturday, after taking it to SC for some OHV Trails there.
I had avoided rough stuff for years since my forks seemed pathetic and I was spending my time/money on the Buell.
Now that ALL 3 of my bikes are obsolete, and Buell closed, the KTM can come back into vogue.

Got my forks fixed (Cogent Dynamics), and he has brought the beast back to life off-road. Had a great time on the trails and it almost felt like I was back on 1 of my old enduro bikes (almost).
Glad I never sold it.
I bought it new in 2001 on a killer late season sale, and never regretted it. Also have all the fun stuff to make it the SM version when the mood strikes.

Need to search the site for some other suspension set up suggestions now!
