BMW 650 GT Scooter

Hell.....I'm 48 yrs old.....feeling the aches and pains.... Just got a '12 R1200GS Triple Black..... and now I want one of the new BMW Scooters as well. They are bad ass. Sales rep said he had it up to 100mph without even realizing it on the freeway! You could ride that thing around the world.

You might want to wait until BMW gets the bugs worked out of the Maxi's, there is already a recall and an investigation by the NTHSA . Fairing parts flying off at speed !!

Over on the BMWMOA forum there are some reported driveability issues and no fix from BMW so far .

It just makes me want it even more! Who would've thought we'd be saying this about scooters...I mean urban mobility. ;)

I'm 39 and I already made the switch. Still have a WR450. I bought my scoot one year too early, as these BMW's, even with parts flying off from speed, sure make be drool.

You sure are doing good Paul. I pray I do as well when I am your age. I hope our paths cross sometime. May all your paths be bright ones my friend. Ride safe.

Unfortunately Paul passed away a year ago.

I'd ridden with him some over the years and conversed with him on various forums. He was a great guy and is definitely missed!
