I have the handguards and top plate (ADV version with cutouts for Powerlets and switches)...all installed without issue and looks to be VERY solid. I'm using Rox Risers and I ordered the 93mm x 38/40mm top plate...should be the same for stock bar mounting, but better measure to be sure.

After a few Saturdays of trying my 2013 XC on some gravel roads and some a little muddy, I've ordered the front fender extender (that my dealer said was discontinued, but got it online) and ordered some knobbies... Next, I guess, is dropping a tooth on the front sprocket and I should be mostly dialed in for dirt!

You may want to get a rear fender extender as well. The rear tire will fling up mud onto your tail rack and tail bag/box unless the 2013 is different from the 2012.

I just saw those listed on BB as I was browsing through all the accessories offered... May need to add that to my wish list! Anyone got a picture of one installed? BB just had the technical sketch / outline.

I have the Touretech one on mine. They have a good pic of it on their web site. Its not the prettiest farkle but it is very functional and inexpensive.

Or you just make your own and sit it behind the number plate.

Right, BT...that's being entirely too practical and besides, farkles don't count if they're essentially free!

And furthermore, not sure I'd put up a photo of your rear tire with the stickers and nubs still showing...or is the Winter already fierce over your way and got you holed up until things thaw?

Ha ha. I actually took that picture ages ago to show the new tread pattern on the 150 section K60. The extension was something I fitted whilst the wheel was out and got into the same picture.
It wasn't completely free as I had to buy the ADV sticker.

That tyre took me all round eastern Europe over 6300 miles and still has tread on it.

And it had the nubs worn off on this road.

Unfortunately some moron had dropped diesel so I didn't really enjoy it in a carefree way.

But the Dn67c, Transalpina pass is better. Although I didn't take many pictures because it's so involving to ride.
