And, the pics...........
The offending shoes ![]() Hiding behind the bike seems like a good idea ![]() My new clutch handle shape ![]() Thank goodness for engine guards ![]() The left side box rack is a little bent inwards, but I don't think it's going to hurt anything. Had to bend the rack lock latch out a bit. Both boxes seem to be a little loose where the screws go from the rack and into the box. I tried tightening the nuts, but there's a piece between the rack and the box that just spins. Anybody know - is this something I need to remove the boxes to fix?

I had no idea that mud could get inside your helmet. Had about 60 miles back to the cabins after this, my legs and right shoulder tightened up after about 20 minutes and ouch! So, when we got back... ![]() I would say "ride hard or go home", but in my case it's probably more like "ride like an idiot or go home". Um, the post above the atv one on the dropped bikes pic thread is mine too......Lets just say I've been having fun.

So glad you didn't get hurt!
I on the other hand am a short girl and only get my toes on the ground when I ride my F650GS. I have found, however that my couple pairs of 3 1/2" heeled boots do better for me because I can leverage the bike better with my whole foot touching the ground, even if its only on a 1" wide heel. The best part of that was that you had no witnesses. It's usually the pride that hurts the most!

Damn, if only someone would've video taped that...you'd be a youtube hit
![]() Take the boxes off and have a closer look. I'm not familiar with the system but it sounds like you might have knocked mounting screw inserts loose? And don't worry...you'll drop it again, like the rest of us

Great story. Drops happen to all of us - no shame there - and the best bikes are built to take a little abuse - but your account is the first I've heard involving heels. At least you and your heels and your bike survived practically unscathed and, most important, you looked good for the party (that's all that really matters
Nice bike, btw! Is this the Rebel's replacement?
