Um, I'll probably be taking the Tenere out gravel/dirt road hunting on Thursday. With our ongoing precipitation, chances are pretty good feats of strength will be required at one point or another.

I'll be on the 650. Need to tear down the fueling system on my 250 after it got Sion'd on the last outing...

I know right? I think some more shit is plugging something up. He made it back here fine, it sat for a week and now I can't get it to run above idle again. I'm going to ebay another tank for it since that one is so beat up.

rellim_63 sez:
"are there any left near here or around?" Unfortunately, none that I am aware of locally. When those machines reached the end of their economic life, they were worth more as scrap than anything else. There may be one fair sized one preserved in IL, another in OK. Beyond that......just bits and pieces like the bucket from Big Muskie. Shame too, they were truly amazing pieces of equipment. I've been lucky, got to see the Gem & Big Muskie work when I was your. And lately, have gotten to see some of the largest bucket wheel excavators ever made still operating in Europe. Those are also truly massive machines. And each of them has an expected life of 50 years!

Water will do that. Some carbs the main jet sits lowest where water lurks. A plugged main will do it too. Did you recently over oil the air filter?

Maybe some bad fuel too. That new ethanol blend loves to absorb water. Did you use fuel out of a can that had been sitting?
