Pilot Road 3, super tire

Okay, I think I posted in the wrong thread, oops, I posted same report over in 955 opinions, sorry to avid Tiger riders.

I went for a ride with some more off road worthy beasts and had a blast. I had fresh Pilot Road 3 tires which handled the gravel and hard pack with okay performance. I would not want to do this all the time, but for a day ride it worked out okay.
On the road, these tires inspire pure confidence.
Tigers are incredible machines, no matter what the year!

I went up and back from the east side this time. I've also done west to east and agree it's more difficult that way.

Rode one. Thing is like a giant rukus. I like my girlie better. YMMV

I brought mine home last week. Wow what a bike, put 120 miles on it Monday before the weather turned bad, it is all I had hoped for in my new bike.

The Make ist Tuareg from Hein Gericke in Germany. But they are very old. Sometime you get one on ebay.
On the picture above the big top-tankbag is missing (you can zipp-off the side- and tank-bags):

Favorite Ride of 2012

Winter is rolling in and my thoughts go back to the best ride of 2012.

It has to be the WABDR!

Sounds very much like the Touratech VP45 http://shop.touratech.co.uk/tankbag-...-cordurar.html but probably much cheaper..

Video from Tiger/GS Westerly Ride

Definitely some places neither pig should ride:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zEajb_-L2o
(I'm the old guy )

There's some GS Giant stuff at the end from AR MOA; Clay (1dzmotard) was too tired from riding 10k miles with me, on his "way there" to seriously compete.

I took this same bike 11k miles 4yrs ago to AK & back. "Ole Blue ('06 955)" now is at 65k miles. I traded in my black '03 955 on it in '07 with over 60k miles. The only bike I ever bought 'another' one.
