Speed Week's on 2013 and I want to go and watch.

What's the spectator value? good or otherwise?

Do you have to take a heap of supplies? The website paints it pretty good.

The road out to the Eyre Highway Ceduna way, any good?

they have fuel and beer at mt ive,the road from mt ive to wirrulla is not to bad at the moment,not sur e about from iron knob to mt ive but guess it would be ok ,had bugga all rain out there this year,grader crew is out there somewhere.never been to speed week either it seems to rain around that time most years.

Hey Barnacle Bill

I have been to Lake Gardner however not during Speed Week.

I rode west to Kimba then wandered tracks north to Gawler Ranges National Park. We entered the Park at Paney Homestead, headed up through the park then on to Lake Gardner. We left Lake Gardner and went home via Mt Ive Station through to Iron Knob. It was one of my best trips.

There's not much if any services north of Kimba with the exception of Mt Ive and some rainwater tanks in the park which I wouldn't rely on.

The tracks were mildly technical in a few places with some sand in places of mild to medium difficultly.

Make sure that you watch Worlds Fastest Indian before you go! Have a great trip!!

I did open a thread on the main page, haven't heard a cracker at this stage, maybe tonight when the pilgrims return from Mecca.
