Tried installing a 43T rear tonight... no luck. Those hex bolts on the sprocket are pieces of shit, the depth is so tiny its easy for the bit to mangle the threads. Got 4 out of 6 out, the other 2 heads are too tore up to get any good torque, great. Dealerships carry these bolts in stock by chance?

Consider getting replacements from a place like Fastenal , they are generally better made and usually available in stainless.

Use an impact driver, the kind you hit with a hammer and it won't be an issue.

Wonder if that is because they installed it at the dealer? I know Bob80 will likely be doing it himself...hopefully to mine as well

The first thing a dealer will do when they see the fuel controller is blame the stalling on it.

The stock XR650L has the same stalling due to an overly lean carb. Jetting is ruined for emissions conformance. Yamaha actually put a back door hack to richen up the WR250R from the dash input to help with this issue too.

I read every post on the KLX forum, and decided that was the bike for me. A used low mile one showed up on the website of a local dealer. I stood in utter amazement as it took 10 minutes to get it started. Oh well, red is better than green anyway. Red bike starts in 1/4 second.
