I just took a three day trip down into WV where I used to live as a kid a couple of weeks ago. I stopped by my old elementary school I went to for kindergarten. It's been closed for at least a decade, likely longer. This is located in Booth, WV, outside of Morgantown.
![]() I also decided to take a peek around inside: ![]() ![]() If you want to see more pictures, check out my ride report I put together: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=836647 |

Mount Trumbull Schoolhouse, AZ Strip
![]() ![]() ![]() Mount Trumbull Schoolhouse is on the AZ Strip about 70 miles south of St. George, UT. On the way to Toroweap, very spectacular viewpoint on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Remote area. Great thread. Thanks.

![]() ![]() Elgin Schoolhouse is reachable on pavement via Rainbow Canyon, south from Caliente, NV. Spectacular motorcycle road with trains and lots of colorful rock. Elgin is also reachable via dirt from the south. This is my preferred route!

We found this old one room school house near Martinsville, IL in Clark County this spring.
![]() ![]() ![]() OPEN Sundays June thru August 2-4 pm The Lincoln School Museum is a restored 1880’s one-room brick school located one mile north of Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois on a spur of the National Road. It is just off the I/70 exit and easily accessible to the traveling public as well as local residents. It stands on its original location and has been restored to its turn of the century charm strictly through private donations. The building now serves as a living history museum for area school students. More information on the school can be found here. Brad
