Here's a photo of my bike with a little windpomp in Overijssel, the Netherlands. It's a tjasker, a very simple design that has been in use from the middle ages. There are only a few of them left. It was mostly used by farmers for draining their land. This one has some kind of stand, but many were mounted on a pole. If you had several poles standing on your land you could easily move the tjasker if you needed it somewhere else.

An old cap windmill (or something like this. They turn only the head of the windmill, not the complete windmill, like they do with the box windmill)
