There are a lot of round-a-bouts in the US. Tons here around St George, UT, including this one in Ivins, UT. I know Portland, OR has quite a few as well, mostly smaller ones though. It's becoming a popular method to slow traffic in neighborhoods w/o stop signs. Often an excuse for artistic community works around here, placed in the middle of the "roundie" as the locals call them. But the tag is R's, as in two or more, so can be anything... Round Robbin, Red Rambler, Rocky Road, A street sign with a R name and some other R... Have some fun and be creative. |

We have lots around Pinehurst, NC too. I guess I have a new idea for a tag...

actually as a roundabout that would make me annoyed....although i guess if its intended to slow everyone down it would succeed because visibility across/around is severley RED ROCK RESTRICTED

It's a 35 mph road, (~55 kph), and fairly tight, so taking it at posted speed is mildly fun and still provides enough visibility since it's mostly low traffic. In the US, most of the round-a-bouts are lower speed areas. Frankly, we can't handle a high speed round-a-bout that required visibility thru it. Too many cell phone, texting, idiots.
